How Standard Report RPUTRBK0 Works

This report is used when 0003 infotype was not updated for some reasons, then you can run this report and update payroll status.
 
In simple terms, this report is very useful for mass changing the payroll status for all employees at same time.
 
i.e. for example:
 
If you are entering the master data for set of employees for the info type like family, education, personal data etc...
 
Earliest MD change is stored which may be the previous payroll period.
 
When you run the payroll for those employees, it will trigger the Retro run from the MD change date.
 
If you don't want that retro run, you have to go each and every employees and you have to change the payroll status dates using PU03.
 
It’s really a very hard task.  However, if you run this report and give the date from which you want to run the payroll, it is easily achieved.
 
NOTE:
 
INCASE OF IMPLEMENTATION, everyone use this report for first time to bring all employees in the same payroll date otherwise payroll runs from the date of joining.
 
For example:
 
If an employee date of joining is 01.04.2088 and SAP implementation on 01.04.2099, then if you run the payroll driver, it will start from 01.04.2088 and not 01.04.2099.
 
So this report is used to update the date from 01.04.2099.
